Editor's Letter | Prioritise New Beginnings

Updated: Oct 18, 2021

New beginnings. Four years ago I felt like my entire life had fallen apart. Like everything I had dreamed of and planned for my life until I was like 80 had fallen to pieces because I lost the only thing my life revolved around at the time, the man I loved.

Crazy how I had planned and had a hope for decades of my life through this one person and neglected anything else that could make for a beautiful life.

Naturally, him leaving me called for a very unexpected new beginning for me. Was it scary? Yes. Was it hard? Yes. Was it sad? Yes. Has it been worth it? Hell yes!

You know how they say that one thing coming to an end could actually be the beginning of something better? Well, that’s exactly the case for me. Yes, I lost something that meant the world to me. I lost someone who, at the time, I considered the love of my life. But my new beginning meant the start of a beautiful new life: one filled new friendships, new experiences, new passions, new chapters, new discoveries, a new love for life, new passionate, chemistry and a new me.

And it all started with me deciding to leave everything behind and move a new city to start over after my relationship ended. Moving scared. Moving heartbroken. Moving uncertain. But moving nevertheless because I knew I needed a new start. And I haven’t regretted it.

Join me over the next few weeks as we chat all things new beginnings, from my perspective at least, and I’d like for you to really think about:

- When was the last time you had a new beginning?

- Was it worth? Was it not? What would you do differently? What would stay the same?

- If you could have a new beginning in any area of your life right now, what would it be? How can you get there?

Looking forward to chatting more about this. Love you, guys xx
